Investment goal: The amount you wish to have in investments at the end of this investment plan. Amount currently saved: Total you currently have saved toward this investment goal. Monthly investments: The amount you will contribute each month to your investments. This calculator also assumes that you make your contribution at the beginning of each month. Expected Rate of Return: Annual rate of return on your investment. For example, the long-term rate of return for the stock market is about 10%. A savings account earns 2% to 5%. Expected Inflation Rate: What you expect for the average long-term inflation rate.
